“Shawl for Pamela” Back View
A “prayer shawl” for a friend. Knit in her favourite colour, I used several different yarns—mohair, ribbon, cotton, wool and rayon. This is an easy pattern starting with three stitches at the centre back and increasing at the end of each row and either side of the centre stitch every other row. Occasionally I knit a row of K2tog and yarn-overs for a lacey effect. A picot cast-off created a flexible edge.
